Wanna' Get Away? Why Not Do Something Good?

Whether your charity begins at home, or you just can’t wait to get abroad, PLAY It Forward is an organization that facilitates positive change and cultural exchange.

Go to Argentina for a conservation adventure in Patagonia. Explore Kilimanjaro as you volunteer with AIDS orphans in Tanzania. Take some time off and trek through the Amazon to help develop sanitation systems for families in remote villages in Peru.

If you want to do something good for people in the US, check out the events page. I found out that PIFA has partnered with the SIMPSON Housing Services for some events in June and July. Travel doesn’t always mean vaccinations and passport services, if you’re [here] in the states, you can do something good at home.

Since January 2007 PLAY It Forward has been in the business of world changing adventure travel! With tours in Argentina, Chile, Guatemala, Kilimanjaro, Machu Pichu, Peru Amazon, Tanzania and select events in the US, these folks are making connections and improving lives.

Travel puts a human face to different cultures and ways of life. Imagine if you could put a smile on that face by being there and making a difference. This organization is making that a possibility.

Slow travel, voluntourism, green travel, etc. are all becoming a part of a growing trend in the world of cultural exchange and exploration. Making good of time spent away from your home sweet home by enriching the lives of others while developing oneself is proving to be a vital resource in a growing global community and a suffering global climate (economic, environmental and otherwise).

Next time you want to take a trip, why don’t you try something new; do something good!
