Change.

Change. Right?

They say change is something good.

Growth.

Progress.

Evolution is change is evolution is change is progress is growth is change.

I'm a little heartbroken to be leaving this amazing city. Hearts are left here...

I fought tooth and nail against this. I fought myself.

San Francisco has been my city, the way it is for most people who live and love here, and I am going to miss my city dearly.

But I’m leaving. Despite the teeth, I’m packin’ it in, and I bite my nails anyway.

Your old phone could save a life...

How does it work?

"Every cell phone given to community health workers connects distant patients to a medical clinic. A $10 cell phone will give 50 families access to emergency medical care, health information, transport services, and clinic resources.

I am a social entrepreneur.

So what does that mean?

Well, according to all of you (the writers of all things "wikied"), I'm someone who has recognized a social problem and am attempting to make a social change.

I see that people are uninspired and disheartened and I want to change that.

There are lots of problems in the world. There are.

Ideas Are Everything.

I put myself- I put us out there.

Strong Roots, Phat Beets

I attended a fundraiser about 3 weeks ago; Phat Beets Produce was great then and is still great today.

The good news is that good things happen every day; the bad news is that I simply can't keep up with it all!

And Then, We Hugged.

I just had a remarkable experience.

SFWAR Walk 2009

As you know, Something Good aims to be as focused on creating good in the world as reporting it, sooooo I went on a walk. Not just any walk, but the SFWAR (San Francisco Women Against Rape) Fourth Annual Walk Against Rape. It was awesome!

I'm Still Here

I have been remorsefully absent for months now, and am looking forward to a kindergarten-free summer to foster some real work and creativity with Something Good. My posts may continue to be sporadic through June, but I am still here, I just have to finish out the school year with my kids (all 21 of them), and I will be back full throttle!

[Note: In case I have not yet mentioned it, I am the program director of a kindergarten after school program, in addition to working out of an office in the mornings. I will be switching to a single job schedule after June. Yesss!]

This is good.

Something Good is my passion, on my mind all the time, and good for me.

Starting to start...

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

So was yesterday, and so will be tomorrow, but today I am starting Something Good.

A short introduction:
Something Good is an online source of good things for you to know.

My name is Annie Wadhams and I am the founder of Something Good.
I am 24 years old, I graduated from San Francisco State University in December of 2007 with a degree in International Relations.
